Trimec Pest Solutions can help you in Silverfish control. Silverfish or fish moths affect many households in the Melbourne area. Silverfish are considered to be nuisance pests that can feed on wallpaper pastes, natural textiles, books, and papers.

Silverfish are about 1/2 inch long, with a uniform silvery color over the upper surface. Their bodies are long and slender, flattened. The bodies are broad at the front, and gradually tapering toward the rear. They can be found almost anywhere, but prefer damp, moderate temperature places such as basements, laundry rooms, and under sinks. They are most active at night and prefer dark warm places.

How to get rid of Silverfish:

A joint approach by the client with Trimec is required if a successful removal of the problem is going to take place. Prior to a Trimec Pest Controller arriving at the property the client must remove and wash any clothes which have been in the area where silverfish have been active. Any item that cannot be washed should be put in a clothes drier for at least 15 minutes or placed in a freezer. After the treatment the clothes etc. must either be sealed in plastic bags or kept in a different area. On signing up for a silverfish treatment the pest control manager would explain all that needs to be done to the client.

Once the client has completed their part of the treatment the Trimec Pest Controller comes in and sprays the area where the silverfish have been seen. We spray including a growth inhibitor which will kill any silverfish that hatch out after the date of the treatment. The silverfish treatment we use is very successful and removes the problem. Provided the client has carried out all their tasks as instructed we offer a guarantee with the silverfish treatment.
